Concept Video using some Plugins and hacks to show AR in real time

Business Problem:

Even though the onling shopping market is huge there is still a little bit of dillemma when shopping online for hair colors, apparels, accessories, shoes etc and the return rate is huge. The core of the problem is  people usually want to try most of the products before purchasing them for multiple reason. This augmented reality app was designed to solve the core e‐trial problem.

The Shopping tool is an Augmented Reality application which enables online e-trials via camera. This product was completely conceptialized, designed and prototyped by me alone as a part of a hackathon.

This solution was designed by me as a part of hackathon in 2 days. What I have is a really quick and dirty mockup I made in 2 sleepless night.

I presented this to judges who liked the idea and this app won people's choice award. Later this idea was taken by the mobile shopping team for further integrations who worked closely with me to get this done.

Junglee Shopping Tool

I usually start with paper sketches as its easy to validate my ideas and thoughts. I did few paper sketches and quick few screens wireframes using balsamiq to get the design direction. Since it was very time driven project I did not do wireframes for all flows but quickly did visual design on the fly for the same. Below are some sample screens of my mockup.

Concept Prototype

Once my visual designs were ready I quickly prototyped the entire interface using JQuery Mobile and other API's to demonstrate my idea and concept.

I started with the problem statement and how this will work.

I then proposed some AR tools which can be used to implement the same based on the feasibility
